UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA · PERSONAL INSIGHT QUESTIONS

Four UC PIQs. One coherent application story.

Review your four Personal Insight Questions as a set, not four unrelated drafts. See an overall writing-competitiveness tier, evidence-based feedback, and clear revision priorities. This is not an admissions prediction.

Four answers, one portfolio

For first-year applicants, UC asks you to choose four of eight Personal Insight Questions. The official maximum is 350 words per answer.
PSgrader accepts drafts up to 450 words each and 1,600 words in total for evaluation. These are PSgrader's draft-input limits, not UC application limits; each final UC answer must fit within 350 words.
The review looks at how each response addresses its prompt and what the four answers reveal together, including repeated experiences, missing evidence, and distinct contributions.
